Our Team

With 25 years’ experience as a Moneywatch client, Steve joined the firm at the beginning of 2017. Prior to joining the team, Steve was the Assistant Vice President for Government Relations at the University of Kentucky for almost 13 years and has developed a passion for helping people achieve their own financial independence. 

Steve is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. 

He serves as Chair of the Board for Commerce Lexington and Vice Chair of the YMCA of Central Kentucky. Steve and his family live in Lexington.

Robert J. Hammond is responsible for expanding the personalized services of Moneywatch to a vibrant market of entrepreneurs and professionals, who are looking for a trustworthy partner in building wealth for their family’s future.

Robert is a Certified Financial Planner™ and graduate of Southampton University in England.

A Londoner by birth, who began his career in sales and business management in England’s thoroughbred industry.  Robert has made his mark in Central Kentucky through his affiliations with significant horse operations, including Darby Dan Farm, Dixiana Farms and WinStar; and successful racehorses, such as Shackleford, Dialed In and Super Saver. Robert also serves as farm consultant for Dixiana Farms and as Chief Operating Officer of Lexington Sporting Club.

He uses his knowledge and lessons learned in building successful businesses in this arena to help create a satisfying financial future for individuals and their families. Robert works with entrepreneurs in all fields who often find that operating demands take priority over personal needs like retirement funding and education planning.

He is married to Ramsey Bova, president of Moneywatch Advisors. They live in Lexington with their two sons, Pierse and Chase, and daughter Poppy Grace.

Chelsea joined the firm in June 2024, bringing with her a wealth of analytical expertise gained through her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky. As Operations Manager, Chelsea plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the seamless execution of projects. Her responsibilities involve streamlining processes, enhancing productivity, and managing resources to achieve organizational goals and elevate client experiences. She lives in Lexington with her three lovely cats.
